Pass It On.
I like the idea of value added. There is worth and value already, but then - that little something is added. Like seasoning.
After 37 years working with children, young people and families and 20+ supporting others who work with them, this is what I’m trying to do. Whether that is through The Resource and my “day job” of Youth and Children’s, Ministry Consultant; establishing Paraklesis - The Association of Children’s, Youth and Families Ministers; my work as a Trustee for CYM; or the week in week out JOY of volunteering in children’s and youth ministry at my local church. In each of these spaces I aim to add value. So, whether you are engaging with me for the first time, or you’ve known me for a while - welcome!
Why now?
I’ve got a bunch of followers on Twitter (X) but, I don’t know what is going to happen to it. I’m loathe to pay for it and that seems to be where it is heading. Also, I’m finding it harder to engage with my community and tribe - who is that? Well, anyone involved in children’s, youth or family ministry - working for local churches, faith groups, regional or national organisations, volunteers, paid - whoever. If you are serving children, young people and families then we share the same heart!
What can you expect?
Hmm, regular musings about all things children’s and youth ministry. If you are familiar with my posts on Twitter or engage with my Facebook Page, you will know I write about what I think (!) As a freelancer, I can be objective and honest - I’m not punching out someone else’s agenda.
Thoughts here are mine and mine alone. I’m always learning, always discovering new things and keen to curate / share / resource others with what I come across. I really don’t believe there can be “copyright” in the Kingdom. Not everything needs to have a price attached to it . . . but.
